CLIFF PRICE

CLASS OF 2010
 

Cliff Price was born and raised in Ada, Oklahoma.  He was ranked #1 in Boy's 18-under singles in Oklahoma in 1965.  He was the #1 singles player at Oklahoma State University for three years, won the Big 8 Conference #1 Singles Championship in 1968, and was runner-up in #1 Singles in 1967 and 1969.  He was ranked #1 in Money Singles in Oklahoma 4 out of 5 years in the late 70s and early 80s and was consistently one of the top Men's Money Singles for four decades in the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. 

Cliff was named the USPTA 45 and over National Player of the Year in 1995; the USPTA Missouri Valley 45 and over Player of the Year in 1994 and 1995;  the USPTA 55 and over National Player of the Year in 2009; and the USPTA Missouri Valley 55 and over Player of the Year in 2008 and 2009.  He was the USPTA National Men's 60 Singles Champion in 2008 and Men's 60 Singles and Doubles Champion in 2009.  He has won nine USPTA National Championship titles in singles and doubles.  He was runner-up in the USTA Men's 40 Hard Courts in 1989 and runner-up in the 45 Hard Courts in 1993.  He and son Nathan were runner-ups in the USTA Father-Son Hard Courts in 2000, won the USTA Senior Father-Son Hard Courts in 2009, won the USTA Senior Father-Son Clay Courts in 2010, and won the USTA Senior Father-Son Indoors in 2012.  He and Nathan were ranked #1 nationally in Senior Father-Son doubles in 2012. 

Cliff has been inducted into the Missouri Valley Tennis Hall of Fame.  Cliff and his wife Sherry have owned Totally Tennis, a retail specialty store in Tulsa, since 1975.  He and Sherry have been married since 1969 and have two children, Nathan and McKenzie.
